Shedd's marine mammal training staff continues to stay on the forefront of developing successful animal-training techniques and encouraging zoos and aquariums to train their animals. Training the animals at Shedd has always been a main focus of the Oceanarium staff because it provides the animals with mental stimulation, physical exercise and, perhaps most importantly, teaches the animals to cooperate in their own care. |
