Stories from Your Backyard

This series is based on several popular children's stories, in which you will learn about the happenings
right outside the door and in your backyard. We will investigate insects, weather, ponds and what you can do to help the environment. Each of the classes in this series includes reading a story, investigating backyard habitats and making a craft to take home. Classes may be taken individually or as a series. An adult must accompany each child. Fee includes one child and one accompanying adult.

Fee: $20 ($16 members) per session
$72 ($58 members) per series

Five Little Ducks by Raffi

Be prepared for a journey to the watering hole. You will provide you with a sampling jar, a dipping net and a magnifying lens as we take a closer look at the creatures that inhabit the ponds and puddles in your backyard. We will read the story of Five Little Ducks, learn what eats what in the pond and make a journal to draw what you see.
