Membership at Shedd Aquarium offers many opportunities to support our animals and participate in an incredible array of classes and events.

There are four easy ways to join:

Call the Members Hotline at 312-692-3284.
Mail the completed membership application with payment to John G. Shedd Aquarium, Membership Department, 1200 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60605.
Fax the completed membership application with charge information to 312-939-8069.
Visit the Members Booth (#1) in the Aquarium lobby.

Shedd Aquarium accomplishments are directly connected to the support of our donors. In appreciation, we provide our members and donors with a number of exclusive privileges.

Aquarium Council — $1,000+

The Aquarium Council supports the work of Shedd Aquarium with generous contributions of $1,000 and more. For more information on giving opportunities and benefits of Aquarium Council membership, please call our Development Office at 312-692-3157 or e-mail us at [email protected].

Invitation to attend mid-summer night fireworks on Shedd Aquarium's terrace

Associate — $250

Entry into the annual "Personal Encounter with the Whales" drawing

Free admission for two guests per visit (total four adults and children 18 and under of member household)

Free and priority entry to the Aquarium, Oceanarium and special exhibits for two adults and children 18 and under of member household.
20 percent discounts in Aquarium retail stores and restaurants
Two membership cards for one or two adults at same household address
Plus all individual membership privileges for two adults and all children of member household

Individual — $50

Free and priority entry to the Aquarium, Oceanarium and special exhibits for two people each time you visit

Remember...

Please bring your membership card and photo ID on every visit. Member admission benefits are: Family Level and above, two adults and all children 18 and under in the same household; Individual Level, one adult and one guest. Additional guest tickets may be purchased in advance.

Advance guest tickets

We love to have you share your visits to the Aquarium with friends and relatives. For faster admission, you can purchase additional guest tickets by calling the Members Hotline. When you arrive, your tickets will be waiting at the Members Booth (#1) in the foyer. As a reminder, Shedd members must accompany guests.

Childcare providers

If your childcare provider is bringing your children to the Aquarium, please call the Members Hotline in advance. We will notify the Members Booth staff to admit him or her with the children. Be sure your childcare provider brings your membership card. Additional guest tickets are available for purchase.
